Photopost: Ice sculptures, Jelgava 2013

Jelgavas ledus skulptūru festivāls 2013 / Фестиваль ледяных скульптур в Елгаве 2013
Hi! :)
It's a tradition already to write here about ice sculptures every year in February (you can see photos from 2011 and 2012 in my blog). On Saturday I was in Jelgava to see them again. This year the weather was bad, as it was quite warm and cloudy. And almost all sculptures had little white roofs above them, so I don't like my photos this year. But well, sculptures are beautiful and you must see them ^^
This years theme of a festival was Planet Ice.

  1. Once again, amazing sculptures! Too bad it was too warm for them :(

Solar rings sculpture reminds me some Asian or maybe Celtic ornament. I can't remember the country :)

It seems that this year they knew I want to see penguins finally :D There wasn't any for years - and now there were 3 sculptures with them. And also a wolf ^^

  3. I especially love the ones with blue light flowing through the ice. No ice sculptures here in Vancouver, but last year, i was in Ottawa. Fun to see them, but they were melting there as well.
